Brand Guidelines

Overview

Our official name is University of Warwick. For grammatical reasons, you may sometimes need to add a determiner (“the”), which should be lowercase – unless it is at the beginning of a sentence.

• Capitalise the U of University and the W of Warwick. Never capitalise the o in ‘of’.
• Always introduce the full brand name (University of Warwick) in the first instance, after which you may use the abridged version (Warwick) if it is fitting for the content.
• We never use the name ‘Warwick University’.
• Add a determiner ("the") when it is grammatically correct to do so.

The following are both acceptable:

• Thank you for taking part in the University of Warwick alumni survey.
• Thank you for taking part in University of Warwick’s alumni survey.
